A Great Work of Collaboration
A Video: “I Have A Dream”
Video Description: “On August 28th, 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I Have A Dream” speech. In 2012, Oakland University students, faculty, and staff came together to deliver their version of his iconic address.”
This video was screened at the opening ceremonies of the annual Keeper of the Dream Scholarship Awards Celebration.
As a former Keeper of the Dream recipient myself, I was honored to be able to participate, however small a way, in this great work of collaboration. I have a brief cameo beginning at 0:56 in the recording.
What do you think Dr. King would say today if he were able to see people come together such as they did in this video to recite his powerful message?
